we've known each other since 1998 through mutual friends, and would occasionally see each other through the years.  Friends of ours have always said that we would be perfect for each other.  They were right!

In May 2006 we both attended a mutual friend's event and spent the evening chatting away over a couple of drinks.  Soon enough, our friend and my (the bride's) sister decided that they will hook us up, even if they had to stretch the truth and trick us into it.  Soon enough, we started talking on the phone and realized that we do enjoy each other's company.

On June 30, 2006 we went on our first date.  It was a casual coffee date, and since we already knew each other, it was not as awkward and uncomfortable as first dates can often be.  We spent a few hours talking and laughing, reminiscing about the past few years, and getting to know each other better. 

The date went really well, as we've been inseperable ever since!
